“Pearl Street: It’s Your Street”

In an effort to combat the image of Albany’s Pearl Street as the downtown epicenter of drunken revelry and disorderly conduct, several of the downtown main drag’s restaurants and bars have teamed up with the Albany Downtown BID to create this television ad.

Somehow, we don’t think this commercial is likely to make much of a difference…

    its a start but i agree, it does not usually look like that on a friday night! at least they are making an effort to brand downtown as a destination for more than college kids, i wish them much luck with the campaign 🙂

    I like the shot of the old businessman gesturing at lunch. Nothing says PARTY like that does.

    Looks like they’re promoting sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll, just a bit more upscale. Alcohol in every shot. I sure hope no taxpayer money went into this one.

    The tagline should be extended to say, “Meet you there…for some good nutritious alcohol!” (Apologies to Bender from Futurama.”
