Festival Fever: Bella Terra Festival, 8/18-20/11

The third annual Bella Terra Festival takes over Gardner’s Farm in Stephentown this weekend for “a grassroots celebration of creativity, consciousness and unity.”

With the music kicking off at 3pm on Thursday (August 18), the three-day fest is loaded with more than 70 bands and DJs who will keep the music pumping on four stages throughout the fest.

Among the headliners are the Mickey Hart Band, Buckethead, BoomBox, Rubblebucket, Zach Deputy, Hot Buttered Rum, Emancipator, Papadosio, Heyoka, Bernie Worrell, the Bridge, the Donna Jean Godchaux Band, Tom Constanten, Roots of Creation, Dopapod, Caravan of Thieves, Start Making Sense and a whole lot of others.

In addition to the music, there will be performances by the Cosmic Karma Fire Troupe and One World Puppetry, as well as art installations, community painting, glass blowing demonstrations, a costume contest, campfire jams, kids activities and miniature golf.

An all-weekend ticket plus camping is $115 ($125 at the gate); a two-day ticket is $90 ($100 at the gate); single day tix for Friday and Saturday are $55 per day.
