Festival Fever: Local Legends Live at Empire State Plaza, 9/9/11

We love the music of the homegrown Nippertown scene – and alliteration, too – but Local Legends Live? Seems a bit premature to call some of these bands “legends” – even “local legends” – but we’re still mighty excited to see all of ’em playing on the big stage at the Empire State Plaza for free… on a Friday, no less.

Yes, state workers on the plaza will have plenty of musical distractions during their work day on Friday (September 9), as nine Nippertown bands will take the stage one after another beginning at 12noon with John Scarpulla and rolling straight through til 9pm when the fab Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned wrap it all up.
