Festival Fever: Hannaford Hispanic Heritage Celebration @ Empire State Plaza, 9/17/11

With autumn officially checking in on the seasonal calendar next week, it seems that outdoor music festivals are stacked high this weekend.

There’s LarkFest, Jazz at the Lake: the Lake George Jazz Weekend, the Irish 2000 Music & Arts Festival, Ponfest, the Roots Music Festival and so much more…

And there’s also the Hannaford Hispanic Heritage Celebration at the Empire State Plaza in Albany on Saturday. Admission is free, and from 3-8pm on Saturday, the plaza will host a family-friendly festival in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, featuring culture, food and music that will have the whole crowd dancing.

Here’s the schedule for the the five-hour fest:

3pm: Welcoming remarks
3:30pm: Zumba demo
4pm: DJ Enrique Lopez and dance demonstrations
4:15pm: Grupo Taineri
5pm: DJ Enrique Lopez and dance demonstrations
5:15pm: Mundo Nuevo
6:15pm: Robert Rivera Service Award Ceremony
6:45pm: DJ Enrique Lopez and dance demonstrations
7pm: 24 Horas
