LIVE: LarkFest @ Lark Street, 9/17/11

Veteran Nippertown rockers Blotto kicked off the 30th anniversary LarkFest last Saturday at the ungodly hour (at least for rock ‘n’ rollers) of 10:30am, blasting through their opening song, “Too Much Fun.”
And “too much fun” was a most apt description of the day-long free, street fest, which attracted an estimated 80,000 folks to Lark Street for a full day of music, merriment, beer and lots of people-watching.
Here’s what the music looked like to Nippertown contributing photographer Stanley Johnson, who braved the throngs of merrymakers:

nice to see the stages where I missed. too hard in the late afternoon moving around.
I was unable to attend, but Stan’s pictures of the event are GREAT!
Thanks for the link! Stan’s photos are great, it’s so hard to shoot those stages due to the huge white tents…
to B You have to set the camera up for the stage performers, and that usually means losing blue sky in the background.
Better late than never! WEXT Facebook page also has a photoset of all the bands by Brian Tromans.
