THEATER/ART RECEPTION: Ed Atkeson’s Firlefanz Puppets: An Art Show About Puppets @ Albany Center Gallery, Albany. The opening reception for the new art exhibition by puppet master Ed Atkeson features performances of two short puppet plays: “The Frog Prince” (7pm) and “The Man at the Controls” (8pm). 5-9pm. FREE. MUSIC: Anthrax @ Northern Lights, Clifton Park. It’s a headbanger’s delight with Testament co-headlining the show, but the real deal here is the return of howlin’ Joey Belladonna, who’s back at the microphone with Anthrax in support of “Worship Music,” his first album with Anthrax in two decades. Death Angel opens the show. 7:50pm. $30.
