MUSIC: The Joe Locke Trio @ the Athens Cultural Center, Athens. The jazz vibraphonist and his band – bassist Jay Anderson and drummer Jaimeo Brown – play the latest installment of Planet Arts’ Jazz one2one concert series. Pre-show talk with the performers at 7pm; concert at 8pm. $10.

MUSIC: Ramblin Jug Stompers @ the Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Averill Park. Back porch pickin’, stompin’ and juggin’ with Bowtie, Cousin Clyde, Mister Eck and Wild Bill. 8pm. $16; under 18 $10.

MUSIC: Jermaine Wells & Ill Funk Ensemble @ Savannah’s/Dublin Underground, Albany. Wells celebrates the release of his debut EP, “For Dancing Girls and Admirers.” 8:30pm.

MUSIC: Zoe Lewis @ the Eighth Step at Proctors, Schenectady. The singer-songwriter fuses together worldbeat, vaudeville and more in support of her new album, “Rotary Phone.” 7:30pm. $18 in advance; $20 at the door.

PERFORMANCE/MUSIC/FILM: Japanther’s “The Cake of The Three Towers” @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. An analog story of grand scale utilizing performance, live music, and animation, inspired by Walt Whitman’s “The Mystic Saxophonist.” 8pm. $18.

MUSIC: The Wholesale Klezmer Band @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. 8pm. $18; student rush $5.

MUSIC: Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned @ the Sanctuary for Independent Media, Troy. The exciting indie folk-rock group performs the year-ending concert at the Sanctuary as part of the ongoing Live from Lock One series. A benefit for Youth Media Sanctuary. 8pm. Suggested donation $10; student/low income $5.

THEATER: “Peter Pan” at Russell Sage College’s Schacht Fine Arts Center Theater, Troy. I gotta crow! The Theater Institute at Sage presents the musical version of the Neverland adventures of the Boy Who Won’t Grow Up, his friends and, of course, Tinkerbelle. 2pm. $10; students & seniors $8. Through Saturday, December 10.

MUSIC: Eilen Jewell @ The Linda, Albany. The Queen of the Minor Key winds her way through a marvelous songbag of originals, as well as select covers that run the gamut from Billie Holiday to Loretta Lynn. And Jerry Miller is simply a monster guitarslinger. 8pm. $20.

ROLLER DERBY: The Albany All Stars @ Washington Avenue Armory, Albany. The rock ’em, sock ’em roller derby gals take on the BC Rollers’ Parlor City Tricks. Live music by the Deadbeats. 7pm. $12; children under 12 $4.

MUSIC: David Bromberg @ the Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. With the Angel Band. 9pm. $35, $45 & $55.

PERFORMANCE: “Haywire” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. Written by Linda Mussmann in collaboration with Claudia Bruce and Ryder Cooley, the performance features video clips from archival footage shot by Linda and Claudia during the early 1980s.
