Best of 2011: Mike Hotter’s Top 5 Songs

Actually, my most listened to song was “I Start to Run” by White Denim, but it came out in 2009…

5. Wilco’s “Born Alone”
4. War on Drugs’ “Baby Missiles”
3. Stephen Malkmus’ “Tigers”
2. Fleet Foxes’ “Helplessness Blues”
1. Radiohead’s “Give up the Ghost”

The Radiohead “From the Basement” session on the BBC really made me appreciate their “King of Limbs” album. The performance of “Give Up the Ghost” alone made that my favorite song of the year.
