MUSIC: Chris Thile & Michael Daves @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Two master musical craftsmen – mandolinist Thile from Nickel Creek and the Punch Brothers; guitarist Daves from Tony Trischka & Territory. Their album, “Sleep With One Eye Open,” is sublime. And they’re even better live. Just ask anyone who caught them at the Grey Fox Bluegrass Fest last summer… 8pm. $22.
MUSIC/READINGS: Occupy Caffe Lena @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. An open stage evening with featured guests Joe Bruchac, Dan Berggren and John Kirk. 7pm. FREE; donations accepted for Shelters of Saratoga.
MUSIC: Rev Tor’s Dead of Winter Party @ the Garage at the Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield. The Rev Tor Band plays host for an evening that celebrates the music of the Grateful Dead. Expect of whole mess of special guests to join in the festivities, including Pete Adams, Kali Baba, Gina Coleman, Chris Merenda, Jim Reynolds, Randy Cormier and others. 9pm. $5.
