Yes, as we announced last week, Asking Alexandria is headed into the Saratoga Performing Arts Center as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival on Tuesday, July 31. But if you can’t wait til then, the band is also slated to headline at Northern Lights in Clifton Park on Wednesday, March 28, along with Trivium, Dir En Grey, I See Stars, Motionless In White and the Amity Affliction. Showtime is 5:30pm, and advance tix are $25. Also new at Northern Lights, Trapt takes the stage on Friday, April 20. The Dreaming opens the show at 7:30pm. Tix go on sale at 10am on Saturday – the first 100 tix are $10.03; advance tix thereafter are $12.50.

Singer-songwriters Peter Case and Paul Collins played together in the Nerves before breaking away to lead power-pop bands the Plimsouls and the Beat, respectively. Now they’re joining forces (along with bassist Timm Buechler and drummer Amos Pitsch) to rock out on their rich songbags, and they’ll be landing at Bat Shea’s in Troy on Thursday, April 12.

Bearsville Theater in Woodstock plays host to Bustle in Your Hedgerow – an all-star Led Zep tribute band featuring Marco Benevento, Joe Russo, Dave Dreiwitz and Scott Metzger – at 9pm on Friday, March 9. Tix are $20. And led by co-founders Paul Kantner and David Freiberg, Jefferson Starship lands at Bearsville at 8pm on Sunday, March 18. Reserved tix are $35 & $50; general admission standing room is $25. And at 9pm on Friday, March 30, the Communion Tour rolls into the theater featuring Ben Howard, the Staves, Nathaniel Rateliff and Bears Den. Tix are $15.

Icelandic indie folk-popsters Of Monsters & Men take over the stage at Jillian’s in Albany on Tuesday, April 10 with Lay Low opening the show. Tix are $12 in advance.

Club Helsinki in Hudson welcomes the return of the bold and blusey Alexis P. Suter Band at 9pm on Friday, February 24 ($TBA), as well as Lower Dens at 8pm on Thursday, March 1 ($8 in advance; $10 at the door).
