MUSIC: Ramblin Jug Stompers @ McGeary’s Pub, Albany. It’s the Monday after St. Patrick’s Day weekend, and the boys are serving up their annual Hangover Hoedown with plenty of funky acoustic pickin’ and jammin’ – jug band music, bluegrass, old-school country, back-porch blues and a touch of jazz… 7pm. FREE.

THEATER ON FILM: “Comedy of Errors” @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. 7pm. $15; children $12.

READING: The Saint Poem Reading Series @ Upstate Artists Guild, Albany. R.M. Engelhardt hosts a special salute to the Beat Genration at tonight’s open mic for poets. Sign-up at 7:30pm; readings at 8pm.

MUSIC: Joe Barna’s World View Ensemble @ Kokopellis, Troy. The drummer and his band – featuring saxophonist Adam Siegel, guitarist Mark Kleinhaut, bassist Lou Smaldone – put the spotlight on the music of George Gershwin. 7pm. Followed by a jam session from 8:15-10:00pm.

READING: James Morrow @ Bard College Bertelsmann Campus Center’s Weis Cinema, Annandale-On-Hudson. The two-time winner of the World Fantasy Award and author of the Godhead Trilogy of novels (“Towering Jehovah,” “Blameless in Abaddon” and “The Eternal Footman”) will read from his novel “The Philosopher’s Apprentice.” 2:30pm.
