The Doors: New Video & Tribute at … Caffe Lena (?!?)

Yes, it’s a new music video for the Doors’ classic “L.A. Woman.” The video features pro skateboarders Kenny Anderson, Alex Olson and Braydon Szafranski on a skate tour of Los Angeles, zipping by a number iconic locations from the Doors’ storied career, from Venice Beach to Hollywood. Directed by two-time Emmy nominee Matt Goodman, the video spotlights numerous Doors references – from the obvious to the subtle – as well as several blink-and-you-might-miss-’em cameos.

ALSO… This weekend, Nippertown Doors fans will also find a tribute to the Doors in a rather unlikely location – Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs. Veteran singer-songwriter James Lee Stanley and Cliff Eberhardt land at Lena’s on Saturday night in support of their recently released duet album, “All Wood and Doors,” an all-Doors cover album.

Stanley and Eberhardt enlisted a batch of A-listers to help them record the CD in the studio – including the Doors’ John Densmore and Robby Krieger. Also performing on the disc are Little Feat’s Paul Barrere, Wings’ Laurence Juber, the Eagles’ Timothy B. Schmidt, the Monkees’ Peter Tork and others.

James Lee Stanley and Cliff Eberhardt will perform music from “All Wood and Doors,” as well as other songs from their long solo careers at Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs at 8pm on Saturday (March 24). Tix are $18 in advance; $20 at the door.
