Another New Concert Announced for the Times Union Center

Well, this is a switch…

In the past, WGNA-FM’s annual CountryFest celebrations have always been typical outdoor festival settings at the Saratoga Raceway of the Altamont Fairgrounds.

But this year it seems that CountryFest is headed to the city – the Times Union Center in downtown Albany, to be exact – on Saturday, July 7.

Eric Church will be headlining the fest, which apparently will be a combination of free outdoor music beginning at 12noon and continuing throughout the day (featuring Dustin Lynch and other acts TBA) followed by a ticketed indoor concert beginning at 6:30pm. Among the other country acts slated to perform indoors are Joe Nichols, Thompson Square and Josh Thompson.

Tix are slated to go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday, April 13, priced at $27.50 & $46.50 for arena seating; $58 for general admission on the floor (no chairs).
