Troy’s circular Gasholder Building has been the site of several art events in recent years, but none of them have been on quite the scale of “S(around)ound,” which took place on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 & 25.

Art installation…
Performance…
Happening…

Call it what you will, it was a gas – as experimental violinist Todd Reynolds, RPI professors Michael Oatman and Shawn Lawson and Rensselaer Arts + Architecture students collaborated on a wild, three-part, 90-minute event that gave participants a totally unique perspective on the architecture of the iconic and historic circular building.

SECOND OPINIONS:

Jeff Nania’s review at Metroland
Audio slide-show featuring Todd Reynolds’ music, Yi-Ke Peng’s photographs and Tyler Hopf’s narration at The Times Union
