Bands Announced for Downtown Albany Blues Competition
The inaugural Downtown Albany Blues Music Competition is slated to take place on Friday, May 4 at more than a dozen different locations scattered throughout downtown Albany. The bands will be performing betwen 5-9pm, and admission is free.
Fans are invited to come out and participate by voting for your favorite bands of the evening. The top three bands of the night – as voted on by the fans – will perform at the upcoming Blues Night at the Alive at Five concert series in Albany’s Riverfront Park this summer.
Sponsored by the Downtown Albany BID, the Downtown Albany Blues Music Competition is being held in conjunction with First Friday, and free trolley service will transport fans between performance venues.
