Baltimore-based synth-pop romantics Future Islands land at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany on Saturday night. The trio – vocalist Samuel T. Herring, bassist William Cashion and keyboardist Gerrit Welmers – released their third full-length album, “On the Water,” last fall. And like their previous two albums, it’s fueled by a broken heart.

Ed Schrader’s Music Beat and local B3nson family faves Barons in the Attic will also share the stage on Saturday.
