When the history of Troy is written, one of the key moments that led to its current renaissance will be pinpointed: the moment Elizabeth Young and Karen Schlesinger concocted the idea of an all-night citywide party, followed by an almost equal moment – when John Connors blurted out the idea of calling it “Troy Night Out.” The last Friday of every month nowadays finds the city awash in festivities of all kinds and the Arts Center of the Capital Region pulls out all the stops to present a wide variety of visual, musical and dance artists operating on the cutting edge.

The words of the old song were never truer: a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
