FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Albany Tulip Festival @ Washington Park, Albany. The tulips are past their peak, but the weather and the music should be great – Fountains of Wayne, Conehead Buddha, Walk the Moon, the City Never Sleeps, Tomorrow the Moon, Barkeater and the LateShift. MUSIC: Santigold @ Northern Lights, Clifton Park. She lands in Clifton Park in support of her brand new album, “Master of My Make-Believe.” With Rye Rye, DJ Playground and DJ Trumaster. 9pm. $25.

MUSIC: Jon Pousette-Dart @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The veteran singer-songwriter makes a rare Nippertown appearance in support of his latest album, “Anti-Gravity.” 8pm. $22 in advance; $24 at the door.

MUSIC: Skip Parsons’ Riverboat Jazz Band @ the Fountain Restaurant, Albany. It’s another weekend of early style New Orleans and Chicago jazz featuring clareinetist-vocalist Skip Parsons, pianist Rich Skrika, guitarist Bernie Mulleda, drummer Tim Coakley, cornetist Richard Downs, trombonist Woody Strobeck, bass saxman Johnny Peppers. And don’t forget the pizza… 10pm.

MUSIC: Dredd Foole @ the Spring Street Gallery, Saratoga Springs. Pitchfork describes the music as “a mesmerizing collection of exploratory guitar, haunting vocals and dark reverb, evoking the rituals of Velvet Underground associate Angus MacLise, the psych of early Pink Floyd and the outsider art of Jandek.” Chris Corsano kicks off the evening with a solo set. 7pm. $7.

FESTIVAL/MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Mayfest @ Williams College’s Weston Field, Williamstown. The all-day outdoor music festival features food, drinks and live music by Jungle Work, the Rock Hounds, Rebel Alliance and CJ Field. All net proceeds go to the North Adams Regional Hospital. 1-8pm. $15; children under 12 free.
