Festival Fever: The Bluegrass Roundup @ McConchie’s Heritage Acres, 6/1-3/12

The Adirondack Bluegrass League will be presenting its annual Bluegrass Roundup this weekend at McConchie’s Heritage Acres in Galway, featuring a whole batch of homegrown Nippertown bluegrass talent.

The pre-fest festivities actually kick off on Thursday evening (May 31) with a chili party and band scramble.

On Friday (June 1) the official fest kicks off at 10am featuring performances by the Better Than Nothing Band, Pickin’ Grass, Good Ole Boys, Bleecker Mountain Folk, Back Porch Pickers, the Bluebillies, Stoned On Bluegrass, Out of the Bluegrass, Cliff Down & the Barn Pickers, Buck Mountain Bluegrass and Yak Yak Creek.

Saturday’s (June 2) line-up – including the Stringdusters, Marcotte Mountain Music, BOB Band, Special Creek, Warren County Ramblers, Washington County Line Bluegrass, Out of the Valley, the Evans Family Band, Cedar Ridge and Dyer Switch – also runs from 10am-9pm.

The fest wraps up with a Gospel Sunday (June 3) show from 9am-12noon with performances by Cedar Ridge, Back Porch Pickers, TrueGrass and Warren County Ramblers.

One-day tix are $5 for Thursday only or Sunday only; $11 for Friday only; $19 for Saturday only. Weekend tix (which include two nights rough camping) are $31.00; children under 16 are free when accompanied by parents.
