Real Good for FREE: Cook Park Concert Series in Colonie

The Village of Colonie is sponsoring another summer filled with free weekly concerts at the Frank A. Leak Amphitheater for the Arts in Cook Park.

The concerts take place at 6:30pm on Tuesdays throughout the summer, and it all kicks off on Tuesday (June 12) with the Pipe Kings.

Here’s the line-up of free concerts for the 2012 season:

June 12: The Pipe Kings (’60s, ’70s, ’80s music)

June 19: Skeeter Creek (country)

June 26: Triskele (Celtic music)

July 3: The Swing Docs (big band swing)

July 10: Mixed Company (dance music)

July 17: Code Blue (classic rock) and Hallertau (blues )

July 24: The T.S. Ensemble (Sinatra to today’s dance craze)

July 31: Electric City Horns (Rock & Roll/Pop/Swing)

August 7: Captain Squeeze & the Zydeco Moshers (Cajun/zydeco)

August 14: The Rymanowski Brothers (polka)

August 21: Jade (’50s and ’60s music)

August 28: Hair of the Dog (Celtic/Folk/Rock)
