Festival Fever: Upper Union Street Strawberry Festival & Art Show, 6/16/12

The annual Upper Union Street Strawberry Fest & Art Show returns to the streets of Schenectady once again on Saturday from 10am-3pm. Many of the merchants on the street – the six short blocks of Upper Union Street between Garner Avenue and Antwerp Road – will host special sidewalk sales and other family-friendly activities.

The fest will feature a smorgasbord of food, art, children’s activities, gourmet marketplace, farmers’ market, wine tasting, strolling fashion shows, sword fighting, pet-friendly features and, of course, strawberries galore.

Another feature of the fest is live music. Here’s the schedule of who’s playing where:

10am-12noon: Matthew Connell (of the Gypsy Scholars) @ Hot Harry’s Fresh Burritos
12noon-2pm: Sonny & Perley @ Gershon’s Deli
1-3pm: Everest Rising @ Home Style Pizza
10:30am-2pm: Aaron Civic at Trustco
