Real Good for FREE: Beacon Riverfest @ Riverfront Park, 6/30/12

Ready for a road trip? Check out the third annual Beacon Riverfest at Riverfront Park in Beacon.

Presented by Local 845, this year’s fest is bigger than ever – expanding to two stages. And it’s still free.

The fest takes place from 12noon-8pm on Saturday (June 30), and here’s the line-up of performers:

Brooklyn Qawwali Party (thunderous 10-piece Pakistani Sufi music brass band)
Bing Ji Ling (funky R&B)
The Figgs (former Nippertown power pop-rockers)
Schwervon! (party folk-rock-pop duo)
The Octomen (high-octane instrumental surf trio)

And on the second stage – the Kids & Family Tent – you can hear the fabulous M Shanghai String Band performing throughout the day.
