THEATER: “Black Tie” @ the Wood Theater, Glens Falls. It’s opening night for the Adirondack Theatre Festival’s production of A.R. Gurney’s acclaimed comedy that’s set on the shores of Lake George. Directed by Terry Rabine. 7:30pm. Through Saturday.
MUSIC: The Nue Collective @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. A night of electronic and piano music brought to you by four talented experimental musicians: Tristan Allen (Amanda Palmer’s not only a big fan; she’s also a collaborator), Faust Goul, Skeleton Zoo and Gossamer. 7pm. $10; students $5.

THEATER: “The Blue Deep” @ Williamstown Theatre Festival, Williamstown. It’s opening night for the world premiere of Lucy Boyle’s honest and funny play examining a mother-daughter relationship. Directed by Bob Balaban and starring Blythe Danner. 7:30pm. $35. Through Sunday, July 8.
