The Adirondack Folk School Concert Series Kicks Off in Lake Luzerne

The Adirondack Folk School on Main Street in Lake Luzerne is presenting a two-week concert series featuring performances by some of the Adirondacks’ finest singer-songwriters, country musicians and traditional folksingers and storytellers.

The series kicks off at 7:30pm on Tuesday (July 24) with folk fave Dan Berggren. Berggren will also be offering two workshops during the day on Tuesday – “An Adirondack Musical History Tour” at 9am and “Songwriting for Beginners” at 1pm.

The concert series will also include performances by Smokey Greene, Tom Akstens, John Kirk & Trish Miller, George Ward, John Roberts, Christopher Shaw and John Kribs (with David Bevins, Arlin Greene and Chris Leske). Most of the concert performers will also be conducting workshops during the day, and Mac Petrequin and Brian Melick will also be offering workshops. Go here for a schedule of workshops.

The concerts start at 7:30pm, except where noted. Concert admission is $15; children free. Workshop tuition is $40 per session.
