The sights…
The sounds…
The smells…

Ah, those hot August days and fun-filled nights at the Altamont Fair

The annual fair’s slogan is “Summer. Fun. Tradition.” And that pretty much sums up what it’s all about – from cotton candy and corndogs to racing pigs and Frisbee-catching dogs.

And of course, while there’s plenty of entertainment and amusement to be had, it seems as though the core historical and agricultural aspects of the Altamont Fair have wisely remained at the heart of the annual end-of-summer gathering.

The Altamont Fair continues daily through Sunday (August 19). Gates open at 10am; exhibits open at 11am; and the midway opens at 12noon. Exhibits close at 10pm; the midway closes at 11pm. Admission to the fair is $15 per day, which includes parking, all of the shows and unlimited amusement park rides.
