Gee, if only there were something to do in downtown Albany on Saturday…

Of course, there’s Day Two of the Restoration Festival at the former St. Joseph’s Church…
And the Port of Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival at the Corning Preserve…
And the Local Legends Live festival at the Empire State Plaza…
And then there’s also Sean Rowe’s CD release party with Railbird at Valentine’s Music Hall…

And now there’s BarrelFest 2012, too.

That’s right, a fourth day-long music festival has popped up on the calendar for Saturday (September 8). Taking place at the Barrel Saloon in downtown Albany, the fest is billed as “a day-long live country/rock ‘n roll music festival filled with games, competitions, a pig roast and, of course, beer.” And one lucky BarrelFest-goer will win a trip for two to the 2013 CMA Music Festival in Nashville.

It all takes place from 12noon-8pm on Saturday. Tix are $10 in advance; $12 at the gate. And $2 from every ticket purchased will go to the “Build a Home for Tech Sgt. Joseph Wilkinson Foundation.”

Here is the official schedule of bands for Saturday’s BarrelFest:

12:15pm: Yard Sale
1:30pm: The Ernst Project
2:45pm: Bobbie Van Detta
4:30pm: E.B. Jeb
