As you’ve probably heard, the third annual Restoration Festival takes over the former Saint Joseph’s Church in Albany this weekend. The three-day fest kicks off on Friday evening (September 7) with Better Pills, Common Prayer and the eagerly anticipated reunion of the Kamikaze Hearts.
Saturday’s line-up features Barons in the Attic, Careers, Dryer, GoldTooth, Hop Along, Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned, Mount Eerie and Sharon Van Etten (with her full band).
Sunday’s line-up features Swamp Baby, Ramblin Jug Stompers, Brian Dewan, Giles Bennett & the Petrified Woods, the Loom, the Parlor and Willy Mason.

Actually, there are TWO bands I’d like to see: our own Museum Guards & Syracuse based Dead Rose Band. The former are real nice kids w/good solid sound. The latter , older (Andy Godlewski, Bassist + leader must be 25 now) harder edged sound but also solid musicians.
