Real Good for FREE: Two Eclectic Nights at The Egg, 10/16-17/12

The New York State Presenters Network Fall Conference is being held this week at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, featuring panel discussions on programming, audience development, marketing, fundraising, venue management and other issues pertaining to presenting the performing arts.

And that’s great news for Nippertown fans of music and dance.

Why?

Because as part of the conference, The Egg will be hosting two nights of showcase performances – featuring a diverse array of performances from acoustic blues to gospel-jazz to modern dance. The showcases are open to the public, and better yet, they’re FREE.

So feel free to stop by The Egg on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (October 16 & 17) to check out some first-class, NYS-homegrown talent.

Here’s the line-up of performers for the showcases:

TUESDAY (OCTOBER 16), 8pm
“An Evening of Jazz, Blues, Rhythm & Moves”
The Brawner Brothers (soul-infused R&B)
Daniel Kelly (composer-pianist)
The Don Byron New Gospel Quintet (gospel-inspired jazz)
The Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company (provocative modern dance)
Julian Lage (jazz guitar virtuoso)
Kyle Abraham.In.Motion (hip-hop, contemporary & classical dance)

WEDNESDAY (OCTOBER 17), 8pm
“An Evening of Modern Movement & Traditional Music”

Heidy Latsky Dance (highly technical & physically adventurous dance)
Mike + Ruthy (timeless and pure acoustic music)
