Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes: Tiesto Concert Moves from Washington Avenue Armory to Times Union Center

It just keeps getting harder and harder to stay on top of all of the constant changes on the Local 518 concert scene, as both dates and venues continue to shuffle around. But, of course, that’s what you’ve got Nippertown for.

So here’s what’s up…

Back in mid-July, Dutch DJ-musician-producer Tiesto was originally announced to bring his Club Life College Invasion Tour 2012 to the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany on Thursday, October 4. Swedish electro house duo Dada Life was in the support slot for the show.

But in late September – just a week before the show – Tiesto postponed the remainder of his tour due to a back injury. The new date for the Armory show was Wednesday, February 20. (Dada Life, meanwhile, stuck with the original October 4 date, but changed the location of their performance from the Armory to the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park.)

As it turns out, February 20 is still the correct date for Tiesto, but now the concert won’t be happening at the Armory after all. It has been moved downtown to the Times Union Center. (The concert, however, is still listed on the Armory’s upcoming concerts webpage.)

Tommy Trash and Quintino are scheduled to be the new support acts. At the Armory, tickets had been priced at $37; but at the the TU Center tickets are now priced at $25, $40 & $45.

Got it?
