New shows booked into Club Helsinki in Hudson include twangmasters the Jack Grace Band at 9pm on Friday, December 14 ($10 in advance; $12 at the door); the ever-soulful Naomi Shelton & the Gospel Queens at 9pm on Saturday, December 15 ($18 in advance; $22 at the door); the Rustic Overtones at 9pm on Saturday, December 29 ($12 in advance; $15 at the door); the Ryan Montbleau Band at 9pm on Friday, February 15 ($15); and Simone Dinnerstein & Tift Merritt’s “Night” at 8pm on Saturday, March 23 ($30).

SOLD OUT: The Dark Star Orchestra concert at The Egg in Albany tonight (Wednesday, December 5) is now officially sold out.
The Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park has bolstered its upcoming concert calendar with a number of new additions, including the Wonder Years with Fireworks, Hostage Calm and Miser at 7:30pm on Sunday, March 10 ($12.50 in advance; $15 at the door); Every Time I Die with the Acacia Strain, Vanna, Hundreth and No Bragging Rights at 7pm on Monday, March 11 ($17 in advance; $20 at the door); and YouTube violin sensation Lindsey Stirling at 8pm on Wednesday, March 20 ($17 in advance; $20 at the door). Tickets for these shows go on sale on Friday (December 7).
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Trey Anasatsio Band wraps up their brief January tour with a stop at the Palace Theatre in Albany. Tix go on sale on Saturday, December 15.
CH-CH-CH-CHANGES: The upcoming Teisto concert that was originally slated to take place at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany has been moved to the Times Union Center.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Grace Potter & the Nocturnals are returning to town for a rip-snortin’ concert at The Egg in Albany. Tickets go on sale on Friday.
CH-CH-CH-CHANGES: As we announced last month, the Tie One On Tour – featuring up-and-coming country singers Frankie Ballard and Jon Pardi – is headed into Vapor in Saratoga Springs on Thursday (December 6). But the concert is now FREE.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: After a long hiatus, RPI’s Houston Field House in Troy is getting back in the concert business. First up on their concert calendar is Passion Pit with Matt & Kim. Tickets are slated to go on sale on Friday (December 7).
UPDATE: The Punch Brothers’ banjo master Noam Pikelny has been added to the bill with IBMA Entertainers of the Year the Gibson Brothers at The Egg in Albany on Friday, January 11. Joining Pikelny will be guitarist Chris Eldridge (Punch Brothers), fiddler Luke Bulla (Lyle Lovett), mandolinist Jesse Cobb (Infamous Stringdusters), bassist Sam Grisman (David Grisman) and vocalist Aoife O’Donovan (Crooked Still).
“Let It Snow,” the Mendelssohn Club’s annual holiday concert will take place at The Egg in Albany at 7:30pm on Friday, December 14. The choir will be joined by special guest artists the Classical Guitar Society of Upstate New York and the Tamarac Elementary School Select Choir. Tickets are $18.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A couple of new concerts – Superhuman Happiness and My Robot Friend – were announced for the upcoming performance schedule at MASS MoCA in North Adams.
CANCELLED: The tickets weren’t scheduled to go on sale until the end of January anyway, but Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers and Edie Brickell have dropped off the bill with the Boston Pops for the opening concert on Tanglewood in Lenox in June.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Stand-up comic Lisa Lampanelli – the self-proclaimed Queen of Mean – returns to The Egg in Albany in February. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A limited number of three-day “early worm” tickets for the Wilco-curated Solid Sound Festival at MASS MoCA in North Adams went on sale last Friday and sold out in less than five hours. Three-day advance tickets to the fest are now currently priced at $124. Three-day passes for children ages 7-10 are $50. Kids 6 & under get in free.
