READING: Richard Blanco @ Union College’s Nott Memorial, Schenectady. A reading by the port who read his work at President Obama’s inauguration just last month. 7pm. FREE.

THEATER: “The Bark and the Tree” @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. An original play written and performed by Vivian Nesbitt about her visit to Ireland in hopes of understanding the legacy of her great-great grandmother, an Irish poet known as “Eva of the Nation.” 7pm. $18.

TALK: Sergei Isupov @ Skidmore College’s Tang Museum, Saratoga Springs. The Russian artist – whose work is often described as “erotic surrealism” – delivers the Raab Visiting Artist Lecture. 6pm. FREE.

TELEVISION: “Love For Levon: A Celebration of the Music and Life of Levon Helm” @ WMHT-TV. A 90-minute concert celebration of levon Helm’s music and legacy featuring performances by Warren Haynes, Gregg Allman, Mavis Staples, John Hiatt, Roger Waters, Dierks Bentley, David Bromberg, Joan Osbourne, Joe Walsh, My Morning Jacket and others. 7:30pm.
