Single-day tickets for Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival at MASS MoCA in North Adams are now on sale. Tickets for Friday, June 21 and Sunday, June 23 are $65. Tickets for Saturday, June 22 are $84. Early bird three-day passes are $124 and still available for a limited time, but the price will increase to $149 on Monday (March 11). Three-day passes for children ages 7-10 are $50 and children 6 and under are free.

Bread & Puppet Theater rolls into Hudson next month for their annual spring tour stop at Time + Space Limited. The political/poetic theater troupe will perform “Dead Man Rises and Other Short Shows” at 8pm on Thursday-Saturday, April 4-6, in addition to their more family friendly “The Circus of Possibilitarians” at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 & 7. Tickets are $12.50; students & children $5.

Our condolences go out to the Capital Region’s acclaimed dobro player-steel guitarist Kevin Maul, whose mother, Eleanor Mae Borden Maul, passed away last week in Glens Falls at the age of 86.

Congrats to former The Academy Is… frontman and current solo performer William Beckett, who recently signed with the Albany-based indie label Equal Vision Records. Beckett is currently in the studio in his hometown of Chicago recording his upcoming Equal Vision debut with producer Marc McClusky.

Sandy McKnight, Local 518 singer-songwriter-producer is offering an adult non-credit course, “Songwriting and the Business of Music”, beginning Monday, April 8 and running for six weeks at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. All levels of songwriters from beginners to pros are welcome. You can register online or by phone at (518) 629-4822. Tuition is $125.
