THEATER: “As You Like It” @ the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. The Acting Company brings one of Willie the Shake’s classic comedies to the stage of one of the Local 518’s most unlikely venues – the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall which usually hosts great concerts, but verrrrry rarely puts a theater production on the boards. 7:30pm. $15, $28, $32 & $36; students and children $15.

MUSIC: Josiah Leming @ Red Square, Albany. With Onelove. 7pm. $10.

MUSIC: The Union College Jazz Ensemble @ Union College’s Emerson Auditorium, Schenectady. Led by Prof. Tim Olsen, the 27-piece group will the works of Wayne Shorter, Charles Mingus, the Glenn Miller Orchestra and more, including Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die,” Trey Anastasio’s “First Tube” and Aretha Franklin’s “Respect” with Jessica Rivetz handling the vocal chores. 8pm.

MUSIC: Adela & Jude @ American Glory, Hudson. Boston-based Americana duo. 6pm. More info here…

MUSIC: Carol Carroll’s Piano All Stars @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Five of Carroll’s young piano students – ages 12-17 – play selections from Baroque to contemporary. 7pm. $5.

COMEDY: The Irish Comedy Tour @ the Parting Glass, Saratoga Springs. Four Irish-American stand-up comics – Derek Richards, Mike McCarthy, Joey Carroll and Damon Leibert – and Dublin’s own Derrick Keane. 7pm. $20.

MUSIC: The Patneaude/Payette Duo @ the Stockade Inn, Schenectady. Saxman Brian Patneaude teams up with keyboardist Dave Payette. 6pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Soulfly @ Bogie’s, Albany. This Maximum Cavalera tour is keepin’ it all in the family. Soulfly (featuring the veteran Max Cavalera) headlines, with Incite (featuring his stepson Richie Cavalera) and Lody Kong (featuring his two sons Igor and Zyon Cavalera) in the support slots.
