Former Sonic Youth guitarist Thurston Moore leads his new band Chelsea Light Moving into Club Helsinki in Hudson at 8pm on Wednesday, May 15. Ticket prices are $18 in advance; $20 at the door.

WAMC-FM’s The Linda in Albany has added a few new shows to its upcoming concert calendar, including bluesman Chris Thomas King at 8pm on Friday, April 5 ($18), the return of rockin’ singer-songwriter Willie Nile at 8pm on Saturday, June 1 ($23) and Texas troubadour Walt Wilkins, who makes a solo appearance at 8pm on Thursday, October 3 ($15), in the wake of his knock-out show there with his band the Mystiqueros last year.

New on the concert schedule for the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock are singer-songwriter Antje Duvekot at 9pm on Friday, April 5 ($15), Steve Earle & the Dukes with the Mastersons at 8pm on Sunday, April 28 ($40, $50 & $60), an acoustic show by soul-reggae legends Toots & the Maytals at 8pm on Thursday, May 23 ($40, $50 & $60), the Jon Herington Band at 9pm on Saturday, June 15 ($20) and the legendary Ian McLagan – a key member of both the Small Faces and the Faces – at 9pm on Friday, June 21 ($25). And Todd Rundgren has added a second date to his Bearsville homecoming. In addition to his previously announced Sunday, May 5 concert, he will also perform at 8pm on Monday, May 6, in support of his upcoming album State.

The Babies – an indie spin-off quartet featuring Woods bassist Kevin Morby and Vivan Girls guitarist Cassie Ramone – are headed into Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany on Friday, May 3, in support of their sophomore album Woodist. Tickets are now on sale, priced at $11 in advance; $13 at the door.

Hip-hopster Jake Miller takes over the spotlight at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 7pm on Thursday, May 23. Priced at $15, advance tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (March 15).

The reunited early-’90s new jack swingsters Bell Biv DeVoe sold out Vapor in Saratoga Springs when they played there in 2011, so don’t wait too long if you want to snap up tickets to catch their return engagement at 9pm on Thursday, April 4. Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door.

On the comedy front, Seth Meyers – Emmy Award-winner and “Weekend Update” newscaster from “Saturday Night Live” – brings his stand-up to the Calvin Theatre in Northampton at 8pm on Thursday, June 20. Priced at $35, tickets go on sale on Friday (March 15).

Do ya think I’m sexy? Rod Stewart tribute act Rick Larrimore rumbles through Rod the Mod’s catalog of hits at the Wood Theater in Glens Falls for two shows – 3 & 7pm – on Saturday, October 5. Tickets are $30.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Phish finally made it official – they’re headed back to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center for another three-night stand this summer…

CH-CH-CH-CHANGES: Tommy Ramone has dropped off the bill of the Acoustic Anarchy tour, which is making a tour stop at WAMC-FM’s The Linda at 8pm on Friday (March 15). Former Sex Pistol Glen Matlock will still be performing, however, and he’s recruited the New York Dolls’ Sylvain Sylvain to fill in for Ramone on the show. Tickets are $15 in advance; $18 at the door.

ONE RAMONE OUT; ANOTHER RAMONE IN: C.J. Ramone has been booked for Chameleons in Pittsfield on Sunday, March 24. C.J. and his band – which also features the Adolescents’ Steve Soto and Dan Rott – will play Ramones classics as well as selection from his new solo album, Reconquista. Support bands include Hijinx, the Damaged, Dead Aces and the Poncherellos. Showtime is 7pm, and tickets are $15 in advance; $18 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs announced the line-up for the Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival with headliners Tony Bennett, Buddy Guy, David Sanborn & Bob James and lots more…

UPDATE: Back in January, the folks at Live Nation announced that Brad Paisley would be returning to SPAC on Sunday, June 2 with Chris Young and Lee Brice in the support slots. Now they’ve finally gotten around to releasing some details about the concert. Showtime is 7:30pm. Reserved amphitheater seats are $44.75 & $64.74; lawn general admission is $30. Tickets are slated to go on sale at 10am on Friday (March 15).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: O.A.R. are bringing their summer concert tour back to SPAC in Saratoga Springs once again this year. Andrew McMahon (of Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin) and blue-eyed soul singer Allen Stone will open the show. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday.

MY BAD: Back in November, following the death of the band’s guitarist and co-leader Michael Dunford, we assumed that Renaissance would be cancelling their upcoming gig, scheduled for The Egg in Albany on Wednesday, April 17. But we were wrong… Following a round of auditions earlier this year, last month Annie Haslam and Renaissance announced that they’ve recruited New Jersey guitarist-vocalist Ryche Chlanda to fill the shoes of the departed Dunford, and they will play their upcoming US tour – including the date at The Egg – as scheduled. Tickets are $34.50.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The initial round of band announcements have been made for the Big Up Festival, which is slated to be held at the Hemlock Hollow Farm in Clavarack this summer.
