MUSIC: Albany Musicians’ Association Jazz Gala @ the Colonie Elks Club, Colonie. In celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, it’s a free concert featuring Ten 27 (2pm), the Jeanne O’Connor Quartet (3pm), the Mike Lampkin Organ Trio (4pm) and Michael Benedict & Bopitude featuring Bruce Barth (5pm). Also being honored by the association for their contributions to the Local 518 jazz scene will be Rudy Lu, Andrzej Pilarczyk, Albert Brooks, Wren Panzella and Brian Patneaude. 2pm. FREE. DANCE: Pilobolus @ The Egg, Albany. The modern movement company founded in 1971 mines their vast repertoire as they perform their innovative and athletic “Classics” program. 7:30pm; free pre-performance talk at 6:45pm. $28.

THEATER: “Radio Heaven” @ College of Saint Rose’s Campus Theatre, Albany. Re-creating vintage radio shows – classic soap opera, comedy, suspense and how-to shows, complete with those wonderfully annoying commercials. 2pm. $10.

MUSIC: Los Angeles Guitar Quartet @ Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center, Saratoga Springs. From Bach to bluegrass… 8pm. $8; seniors $5; students & children FREE.

MUSIC: Schenectady Symphony Orchestra @ Proctors, Schenectady. With soloists Ryan Reilly and Anthony Bellino. 3pm. $12;; students $8; ages 7 & under FREE.

MUSIC: Kottonmouth Kings @ Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. The Fight to Unite tour also features Duece, Snow Tha Product, Eskimo Callboy and K.Daver. 6pm. $20.

FILM: “City Lights” @ Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, Great Barrington. Charlie Chaplin’s 1931 classic begins with an uproarious skewering of pomp and formality, ends with one of the most famous last shots in movie history and, from start to finish, so completely touches the heart and tickles the funny bone that in 1998 it was named one of the American Film Institute’s Top 100 American Films. 4pm. $7.

FILM/MUSIC: “Beyond Iconic: Photographer Dennis Stock” @ the Rosendale Theater, Rosendale. A one-time-only screening of Hanna Sawka’s documentary film about Magnum photographer Dennis Stock, who created some of the most famous images in the world. Followed by a Q&A with the director. And then at the Rosendale Cafe, a live music performance featuring composers and musicians who scored the film – Teri Roiger and John Menegon – joined by percussionist Tani Tabbal and trumpeter Rebecca Coupe-Franks. 7:15pm. $7. Cafe concert at 9pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Marjorie Thompson @ the Lion’s Den at the Red Lion Inn, Stockbridge. 8pm. FREE.
