THEATER: “Les Miserables” @ Proctors, Schenectady. The 25th anniversary production of the rousing, inspirational musical. 8pm. $20, $35, $45, $60, $70, $75 & $90. Through Sunday.

MUSIC: ReaLation @ Proctors’ GE Theatre, Schenectady. Catch a concert by the eclectic Albany rockers and be part of the live DVD filming, slated for release this summer in conjunction with the band’s release of their CD Fraudulence. And see the debut of the band’s music video for their new single, “Alright.” 7pm. $2.

MUSIC: Sara Davis Buechner @ Williams College’s Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall, Williamstown. The pianist performs Mozart (Sonata in E flat major KV 282; Sonata in B flat major KV 570; and Sonata in F major KV 332), “Ten New Etudes for Piano” by Yukiko Nishimura and George Gershwin’s original arrangement of “Rhapsody in Blue” for solo piano. 8pm. FREE. Also a free master class at 4:15pm.

READING: Gail Collins @ UAlbany’s Page Hall, Albany. One of the most recognizable names in American journalism, Gail Collins served as the first female editor of The New York Times Editorial Page (2001-2007) and has contributed an influential bi-weekly column to the Times Op-Ed page for most of the past decade. Her newest book is “As Texas Goes… How the Lone Star State Hijacked the American Agenda.” 8pm. FREE.

MUSIC: R5 @ the Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. Featuring Ross Lynch from “Austin & Ally.” With Hollywood Ending, Taylor Matthews and Alex Aiono. 7pm. $20.

MUSIC: Jonah Parzen-Johnson @ the Spotty Dog, Hudson. The Brooklyn-based solo baritone saxophonist draws inspiration from the unadorned voices of Appalachian music and lo-fi musicians like Bill Callahan. With Mrs. Adam Schatz and Steven Lugerner. 8pm. $5.

READING/PERFORMANCE: WXW Story Slam @ Y Bar, Pittsfield. Hosted by James Burden, storytellers have three minutes to tell fantastic, true stories based on the theme. Tonight’s theme is “warning signs.” 8pm.
