MUSIC: Findlay Cockrell @ the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. The Music @ Noon lunchtime concert series concludes its spring season with the return of the veteran pianist performing selections from his latest album, Findlay in Blue: The 3 American Gs, featuring music by Gershwin, Gottschalk and Gould. 12noon. MUSIC: Dougie MacLean @ the Eighth Step at Proctors, Schenectady. This past weekend, the Eighth Step hosted dynamite shows by Tom Rush and Peggy & Pete Seeger, and now the Step closes out its 45th anniversary season with the acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter-storyteller, formerly of Silly Wizard and the Tannahill Weavers. 7:30pm. $28 & $35.

COMEDY: Aziz Ansari @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. Rolling Stone put him on the cover of their special comedy issue, labeling him “the funniest man under 30.” Now the co-star of the NBC-TV series, “Parks and Recreation,” is coming to town with his current stand-up comedy tour “Buried Alive.” 8pm. $27 & $32.

MUSIC: Project/Object @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. Frank Zappa tribute band with an unprecedented five Zappa alum on stage together – Ike Willis, Ray White, Ed Mann, Tom Fowler & Denny Walley. 7pm. $20.

FILM: “Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry” @ WAMC-FM’s The Linda, Albany. Director Alison Klayman examines the life and art of China’s most famous, most controvertial and most politically outspoken contemporary artist. 7pm. FREE.

READING/PERFORMANCE: Mindy Nettifee @ yBar, Pittsfield. The acclaimed poet/spoken word artist’s most recent collection of poems, “Rise of the Trust Fall” (Write Bloody), was hailed by BUST as “the linguistic orgasm we’ve all been waiting for…” 8pm.
