MUSIC: Joe McPhee-Chris Corsano Duo @ the Spring Street Gallery, Saratoga Springs. The veteran free jazz saxophone giant and the equally adventurous drummer – recently named one of the 100 Greatest Drummers of Alternative Music by SPIN Magazine – team up for an evening far-reaching improvisational music. 8pm. $6-$10.

MUSIC: The 5 Browns @ Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center, Saratoga Springs. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, the musical family ensemble offers the world premiere of a new five-piano arrangement. MUSIC: Paul Kelly @ The Linda, Albany. The veteran Australian singer-songwriter rolls into town. Is this his first time in town? Is that possible? 8pm. $17.
