Rhythm On the Ridge returns to the scenic Maple Ski Ridge in Rotterdam on Saturday and Sunday, June 8 & 9. For the fifth annual fest, there will be two stages of continuous Americana and roots music running from 11:30am til 9pm on Saturday (June 8) with performances by the host band Flood Road, as well as Red Haired Strangers, Dan Johnson & the Expert Sidemen, Ramblin Jug Stompers, Matt Durfee and lots more. In addition, rough overnight camping is available on Saturday evening, so you can pick all night long and kick off your Sunday with the “Pickin’ with Pancakes” Open Mic Breakfast, hosted by the acoustic duo, 2Late. Sunday’s line-up of performers features some of the most popular roots bands around Nippertown, including the Lazy Suns, the Hill Hollow Band, Everest Rising and pthers.

From folk to country-rock, from bluegrass to blues, two dozen bands are slated to play the fest over the course of the weekend, and in addition to the bountiful music, there will be plenty of crafters, vendors, food, children’s activities, music workshops and field picking, too.

Two-day, all-festival tickets are $13 in advance; $15 at the gate. Sunday-only tickets are $5. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by a paid adult admission.

    What to do on a nice Saturday, if the weather holds out…Maple Ridge, Art On Lark, Mountain Jam…Well, two of them are free, but Hunter Mountain has Gov’t Mule, Michael Franti and the Lumineers…Hmmn, it’s gonna take a three-sided coin again…
