FILM: “The Little Girl Who Sold the Sun” (“La Petite Vendeuse de Soleil”) @ the Saratoga Arts Center, Saratoga Springs. Named one of the 10 best films of 2000 by The Village Voice, Djibril Diop Mambety’s film tells the story of feisty Sili Lam, a 12-year-old beggar on crutches, keen to support herself and her blind grandmother, who becomes the first girl in her Senegalese city to peddle newspapers. 7:30pm.

FILM: “Secretariat” @ Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center, Saratoga Springs. The second film of the Saratoga 150 Film Festival. 7:30pm. $5; FREE with ArtsPass.
