The Egg Announces a Big Batch of New Concerts and Events

The Egg in Albany celebrated its 35th anniversary with a fundraising party on Wednesday evening (June 19), and amidst the festivities executive director Peter Lesser announced more than two dozen new performances for theaters’ 2013-2014 season.

The anniversary season concert calendar will include a number of returning favorites, including jazz saxophonist Joshua Redman, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Roger McGuinn and Chris Shaw & Bridget Ball’s holiday show, “Mountain Snow & Mistletoe.”

The highlight of the season, however, promises to be a unique collaborative performance by tap dance phenom Savion Glover and the jazz quartet led by master drummer Jack DeJohnette.
