MUSIC: Lyle Lovett & His Acoustic Group @ The Egg, Albany. The wry Texas troubadour and his band – fiddler Luke Bulla, bassist Viktor Krauss, drummer Russ Kunkel and guitarist Keith Sewell – romp through Lovett’s eclectic catalog of song classics. 8pm. $58.
MUSIC: Eastbound Jesus @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Armed with shredding banjo, rich harmonies, ballads and rocking tunes, Nippertown’s hottest country-gone-rockin’ band offers a more intimate unplugged concert in support of their latest album, Northern Rock. 8pm. $17. MUSIC: Boston Symphony Orchestra @ Tanglewood, Lenox. It’s the opening night of the BSO’s 2013 summer season, featuring violin superstar Joshua Bell and an all- Tchaikovsky program. Frubeck de Burgos conducts. 8:30pm. $19-$109.
THEATER: “Spamalot” @ Washington Park Lakehouse, Albany. It’s opening night for Park Playhouse’s 25th season with the musical adaptation of the classic film comedy “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” 8pm. FREE; reserved seating $14-$16; VIP $22. Through July 28.

MUSIC: The Holmes Brothers @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Righteous! The veteran trio whips up an evening of great roots music from Saturday night juke joint blues to Sunday morning goin’-to-church gospel. 9pm. $28.
