MUSIC: The Moon @ the Spotty Dog, Hudson. The duo of guitarist Adam Caine and drummer Federico Ughi create experimental, improvised music that is influenced in equal parts by contemporary classical composition, jazz, noise and psychedelic rock. With Nathan McLaughlin. 8pm. $5.

PARTICIPATORY DANCE: Saturday Evening Dance @ the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany, Albany. After kicking off the evening with blues dance lessons by Greg Avakian & Joy Arico at 8pm, the dance features the music of the Gordon Webster Quintet (9pm-12midnight) and the Josh Fialkoff Trio (12:15-4am).
