The Greg Caputo Big Band

The Berkshire Gateway Jazz Weekend is back again, transforming Lee into a jazz destination this weekend. In addition to performances around the town by local musicians, there are two main concerts on tap for jazz fans.

At 8pm on Friday (July 26), guitarist Freddie Bryant and his band Kaleidoscope are schedule to perform at the Mainstage Lee Meeting House at the First Congregational Church.

Then at 7:30pm on Saturday, the Meeting House will be roaring with the swinging sounds of the Greg Caputo Big Band. The 16-piece band will be serving up “A Salute to the Big Bands: Benny Goodman to Gordon Goodwin,” and just to make the evening a bit more enticing, veteran sax master and four-time Grammy Award-winner Phil Woods will be featured with the band.

Tickets are $25 for each of the two main concerts, or you can bundle them together and catch both shows for $40.
