Bands Announced for the CRBN Blues Band Showdown

The Capital Region Blues Network’s Blues Band Showdown takes place at WAMC-FM’s The Linda in Albany at 7pm on Saturday (August 3), when three Local 518 blues bands will face off against each other for a chance to win a prize package worth more than $1500 and the right to compete in the Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

The competing bands are:

Joe Lowry & the Second Mile Blues Band
Jimy Graham
Holly & Evan

Joe Lowry & Co. and the duo of Holly & Evan were dual winners in last year’s Blues Band showdown.

The winner of this year’s battle of the blues bands will be chosen by combining the judges’ scores with the audience’s votes, so be sure to come on down and cast your ballot for your favorite band on Saturday night. Admission is $12.
