7/30/13: Today’s Tips: Tuesday
MUSIC: Todd Rundgren @ The Egg, Albany. Unlike his shows in May at the Bearsville Theater which focused on his new album, State, this time around the Wizard, the True Star rumbles into The Egg with a full band – bassist Kasim Sulton, guitarist Jesse Gress, keyboardist John Ferenzik and powerhouse drummer Prairie Prince – for a full career retrospective packed with hits (or at least, should-have-been-hits). 8pm. $34.50.
MUSIC: Alex Bleeker & the Freaks @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. Real Estate bassist Bleeker lands in Nippertown in support of his sophomore album How Far Away, which features Real Estate bandmate Jackson Pollis, Mountain Man’s Amelia Meath, Woods’ Jarvis Tanviere and Big Troubles’ Sam Franklin. With the Parlor and Shark Weak (featuring members of Barons in the Attic). This is also the final Dellarocca Booking bash before Nicole Dellarocca heads to NYC. 8:30pm. $10.
