Alt-pop band C. Jane Run reunites this weekend to celebrate their “almost 20th anniversary.”

“It’s like we never stopped playing,” says vocalist Lisa Carey. “The chemistry is still there. And it’s been a lot of fun.”

The co-ed popsters first formed in 1994, and over the course of more than a decade together, C. Jane Run released three albums – You Must Be Jane (1998), Happy (2001) and How Do You Like Me Now? (2004).

Carey will be joining guitarist Chuck Manchester, bassist-vocalist Mike Lisi (aka Mick Wray) and drummer Joanne DeSarbo as they get back together for a one-night-only reunion at Katie O’Byrne’s in Schenectady at 9pm on Saturday (August 3). Admission is free.

“It’s not like the band is re-forming or anything,” says Lisi, “although we’ll probably do a few more pick-up gigs, and recording a new album isn’t out of the question. Mostly, it’s just four friends coming together to play a few tunes.”
