Comin’ Soon: New Concert Announcements
The Tiger Lillies are coming! The deliciously demented London trio is headed into the Mainstage at the Williams College’s ’62 Center in Williamstown at 8pm on Thursday, October 24, with their multimedia production of “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” immersing the audience in the world of Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s surreal ballad of death and enchantment on the high seas. Tickets are $10.
The Bearsville Theater in Woodstock has added a batch of new events to its calendar including the one and only Rickie Lee Jones, who graces the stage at 9pm on Friday, October 11, as part of WDST-FM’s 15th annual Pink October fundraiser benefitting the Dyson Center for Cancer Care at Poughkeepsie’s Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Tickets are $45, $69 & $79; VIP $150. Also upcoming at Bearsville are the fifth annual Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase on Saturday & Sunday, October 26 & 27 ($20 per day; $30 two-pass pass); the Parker Brothers Drum-Off at 9pm on Friday, Novemeber 1 ($30); Conehead Buddha at 9pm on Friday, November 22 ($10); Marc Black at 9pm on Saturday, November 30; the return of the Spampinato Brothers at 9pm on Friday, December 7; and the annual winter solstice benefit concert for the Woodstock Guild featuring Happy Traum & Friends at 8pm on Friday, December 13.
The Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park has announced a handful of new concerts including Bingo Players’ Rattle and Roll tour with Bass Jackets at 9pm on Wednesday, October 23 ($23 & $25 in advance; $30 at the door; on sale at 10am on Friday); Adventure Club with Dvbbs and Hunter Siegel at 8pm on Sunday, November 3 ($25); Trapt with Devour the Day, Righteous Vendetta, This Renaissance and Above the Flood at 7:30pm on Friday, November 15 (first 103 tickets at $1.03; then $13 in advance; $15 at the door; on sale at 10am on Saturday); co-headliners Trivium and Devil Driver with After the Burial and Thy Will Be Done at 7:30pm on Friday, November 29 ($20 in advance; $22 at the door; on sale at 10am on Friday); and Crizzly and Figure’s All Black Everything tour at 8pm on Tuesday, December 3 ($20 in advance; $25 at the door).
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams announced its fall concert schedule which includes upcoming performances by Orquestra Salsa con Cociencia, Ryder & Hazel with the Dust Bowl Faeries, Shana Falana, Craig Harris & the Nation of Imagination and the Sweetback Sisters.

CANCELLED: The concert by West African band Tal National that was originally slated for Thursday (September 12) at the Half Moon in Hudson, has been cancelled due to unforeseen visa issues.

IT’S OFFICIAL: Although we originally announced it more than a month ago, the Times Union Center in Albany has finally confirmed that the Trans Siberian Orchestra will be returning to the downtown arena at 7:30pm on Thursday, December 5. Priced at $33, $43, $53, $63 & $73, tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (September 13).
New on the concert calendar at Club Helsinki in Hudson is the the Wild Rovers Tour featuring Cory Chisel, the Candles, INVISIBLEMAN, Adriel Denae and special guests at 8pm on Sunday, October 20 ($15 in advance; $20 at the door). Also upcoming is Otan Vargas at 9pm on Friday, October 25 ($TBA).
