FESTIVAL/ART/MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Framing the Viewshed: Groundswell @ Olana State Historic Site, Hudson. A groundbreaking event featuring site-specific works in sound, text, installation and movement. Over a dozen artists – including DJ Spooky, Pauline Oliveros, Japanther, eteam, robbinschilds, Bobby Previte, Maximilian Goldfarb, Greg Fox, Nadja Verena Marcin, David Kermani and others – reflect on and react to Olana, Frederic Church’s ambitious 250-acre early environmental work. 2pm. $30; ages 12 and under FREE.
FESTIVAL/MUSIC: FreshGrass @ MASS MoCA, North Adams. It’s the final day of the bluegrass-and-beyond fest, and today’s line-up includes the Del McCoury Band, Jerry Douglas, the Infamous Stringdusters, Sam Bush, Ramblin Jug Stompers and lots more. 11am. MUSIC: Pavel Vinnitsky @ Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center, Saratoga Springs. The acclaimed clarinetist will be accompanied by pianist Anna Vinnitsky. 3pm. $8; $5 seniors; free for students and children. NOTE: A master class will follow the concert at 5pm.
PERFORMANCE: Nick Vaughan and Jake Margolin @ MCLA Gallery 51, North Adams. In conjunction with their current exhibit, the New York-based collaborative art duo performs “Bag Piece,” in which they read the transcript of Perry vs. Schwarzenegger, the case that overturned Proposition 8 in 2013, capturing their breath in plastic bags that eventually accumulate into a physically tangible representation of this event in history. 11am-4pm. FREE.

FILM: “Before Midnight” @ Saratoga Arts Center, Saratoga Springs. Jesse (Ethan Hawke) and Celine (Julie Delphy) first met in their 20s in Richard Linklater’s 1995 film, “Before Sunrise,” reunited in their 30s in 2004’s “Before Sunset,” and now, in 2013’s “Before Midnight,” they are an official couple. 7:30pm. $7; $5 students.
