FESTIVAL/MUSIC/MORE: StoryHarvest @ Freedom Square, Troy. The third annual Celebration of Art and Food from Seed to Table features a community potluck & barbecue, children’s activities and music by jazz great Don Byron with local gospel artists Jerry Brown, America Ray, Arthur Danzy, Church of God Ebenezer and Laymen of Troy (1pm), “mystic pop diva” from the Comoros Islands Nawal (2:30pm) and Don Byron’s New Gospel Quintet (4pm). 1-5pm. MUSIC: Magpie @ the Eighth Step at Proctors, Schenectady. The award-winning husband-and-wife folk music duo of Terry Leonino & Greg Artzner celebrates their 40th anniversary with a special concert featuring guest fiddler Jane Rothfield, flatpicking guitar champion Rolly Brown and string bassist Ralph Gordon. 7:30pm. $26 & $35.

MUSIC: Richard Barone @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. The frontman and songwriter of seminal Hoboken smart-pop icons the Bongos returns to town for a CD release party for Phantom Train, the lost Bongos album that was recorded in 1986 but never released. MUSIC: Richard Thompson @ The Egg, Albany. The iconic British folk-rock legend – one of the world’s most critically acclaimed songwriters and admired guitarists – performs an intimate solo acoustic concert.
